On monday the 6th of May, we drove off early (05:00h) to get to the Kootwijkerveen before Sunrise. The night showed low temperatures, so there might be mist on the small lake (ven). The mist was there but not as much as we thought. Non the less, with no wind we could capture the beautiful reflection of the standing tree in the water.
Later that morning, when the sun was already getting higher, a small sand lizard crossed our path and went sunbathing on a fallen tree. He just set there for a long time and gave us the change to get some nice images of his pose. The sand lizard is small, quick and a joy to watch.
The images were captures with my Nikon D800 using the Nikon AFS 24-70 f/2.8ED and the Sigma Macro 150mm f/2.8. Postprocessing with Adobe Lightroom 4.
I hope you like the images as much as we enjoyed that morning on the Kootwijkerveen.
