This September we visited the Norwegian National Park Rondane to capture the autumn colors in this beautiful landscape. The autumn season comes much earlier in Norway because of it’s higher position and lower temperatures. This year the weather was extraordinary. Clear blue skies and harsh sunlight. It felt like summer so photo technically it was a bit challenging.
We visited the following area’s within Rondane: Dørålseter (pay road), Grimsdalen (pay road), Einunndalen (pay road) and National Park Dovrefjell. The highlights of this phototrip were many. We saw for the first time the Northernlight and spotted a group of musketos.
We stayed for one week. This is too short. So we definitely have to go back. Perhaps as quick as next year.
I posted my first processed images on my portfolio site under Landscapes – Norway-Rondane.
All pictures were taken with my Nikon D800 DSRL and several Nikkor lenses like the AFS 24-70mm f/2.8 , AFS-16-35mm f/4.0 and the AFS 70-200mm f/2.8 VRII. Post-Processing was done in Adobe Lightroom 5.6 and Photoshop CS6. I also used the Google Niksoft filter collection.
Thanks for reading and I hope you enjoy the pictures.
